I spent over 15 years in the fast-paced world of financial services, structured, demanding, and very buttoned-up. But behind the spreadsheets and deadlines, there’s always been another side of me. I grew up in a family full of artists, painters, musicians, makers, so creativity was just part of everyday life. Even if I didn’t pursue it right away, it never really left me.
Styling and fashion were always a quiet obsession. I’ve always been drawn to how colors play off each other, how the right combination can turn something simple into something expressive and alive. Eventually, I started carving out space for that part of me again. I took sketching classes, played with shapes and fabrics, and let curiosity guide me.
Then came a summer in Greece — full of movement, light, and color — and something clicked. I found myself sketching pleated bags in every size, experimenting with unexpected color pairings, chasing this idea of creating something beautiful but useful. A bag that could keep up with a full, vibrant day, from work to workouts to dinner with friends, without missing a beat.
What started as a personal creative outlet slowly turned into something more. A collection. A vision. A brand. And that’s how VÉLINE was born, from structure and spontaneity, routine and reinvention, color and movement, all coming together in one place.
